National Trails Day
The public is invited!

It is being planned that somewhere on the Finger Lakes Trail System that there be a hike on National Trails Day. Hence will be the theme "Hike Across New York State". Three hikes have been planned for the Conservation Trail in and around the Erie County Forest on Genesee Road, Map CT 6 & 5. All events will meet at the warming hut on Genesee Road.

At 2 p.m. Boy Scouts from Troop 1776 will present the flag with a color guard. We may have a few official words. Then we can fall to and taste our way through a table laden with potluck fare. Please bring a dish to share. Everyone needs to bring their own place settings and drinks. It might also be a good idea to bring a lawn chair.

Volunteers are needed to help shuttle hikers to the beginning of the hike. We may also need someone to man the table with informational literature to hand out and answer questions.. Please call 675-9642 if you can help.
