The shorter distance is in case some people can leave work and do a short jaunt around the woods before returning to work and the longer distance is for those who have more time and can continue on a little longer. This is a wetlands area behind the Amherst police station/court.
Meet at the entrance to the woods, near the Senior Center. The woods are not paved, maintained or marked. Being a wetland, it could be very muddy. So dress accordingly.
